‘Late Show’ Puts Madcap Musical Spin On John Kelly’s Claims That Trump Admires Hitler

John Kelly recapped his claims that Donald Trump admired Adolf Hitler in a computer-generated musical spoof from “The Late Show” on Wednesday. (Watch the video below.)
The real Kelly, a retired general and chief of staff for the former president, said recently that Trump meets the definition of a “fascist” who “prefers the dictator approach.” He also said the Republican nominee asked him why he couldn’t be more like “Hitler’s generals.” One of the outlets also revisited Kelly’s anecdote that Trump told him “Hitler did some good things.”
So let’s cue this timely tweaked version of “I Am The Very Model of a Modern Major-General” from “The Pirates of Penzance”!

Sings the faux Kelly: “I am the very model of a modern former general/ Trump thinks that Adolf Hitler and his generals were incredible/ He boasted Hitler had ideas that were most commendable/ Trump also is a fan of Arnold Palmer’s giant genitals.”
Gilbert and Sullivan probably never saw that rewrite coming.
